On Wednesday 20 August, my mates and I had a fantastic sailing trip on the Mateo, an Aira 22. A comfortable a stable boat. We had to cancel two previous dates due to illness and bad weather. It was no problem at all to fix a new date at no cost. Meat for the barbecue we were allowed to keep in Inge and Jelle's fridge. The contact was great and the service was top notch!

We had an Aira 22. A very (seat) comfortable sailboat, if you are used to a Valk. And fast, too. The weathersum conditions also happened to be excellent. No deposit needed to be paid. Highly recommended!
Fine service, good and friendly explanations and excellent boat. Close to the Heegermeer, where you can sail for hours to the Fluessen and beyond. You get a handy watermap. The Aira is comfortable thanks to seat cushions and benches in the cockpit and sails nicely sharp. Lovely day with lots of sunshine and plenty of wind.

Yes, the following fuel is included in the rental price. The Aira 22 you get with a full tank of petrol (E10) and a spare 5-litre tank. The Hanse 315 has a full tank of diesel at the start of the rental period.
We do not have standard routes for sailing boats. We do provide you with a watermap of the area. Jelle can always advise you on the day itself, taking into account the (expected) wind direction and strength.
Yes, your dog or cat can come on board!
To us, you pay no additional costs when renting a sailing yacht or sailboat.
Should you need more fuel during your holiday or stay overnight in a port, there are of course costs involved.
If you have rented the boat for a day, in case of bad weather you can change your booking to another day until 16:00 of the previous day (subject to availability).
For cancellations for other reasons, our terms and conditions. If you want to move your booking please contact us in good time.
The Aira 22 is suitable for 1-6 people. If you have a larger party, you can of course rent several Aira's. The Hanse 315 is suitable for 1-5 persons.
You can rent a sailboat from us in season from 1 April to 31 October for as long as you want. You can hire the Aira 22 for a day or longer. The Hanse 315 can be rented for at least a weekend or midweek. Up to 15 days, you can book the boats directly online. If you want to book for longer, please contact us.
Although we maintain our boats to the best of our ability, something can always break down. In that case, contact us immediately and we will try to find a solution to the problem as soon as possible, so that you can continue sailing and enjoying yourself again soon.
If you have sufficient sailing experience, you may sail the Hanse 315 to the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Islands. The Aira 22 is not suitable for this. The sailing area of this boat is limited to the Friesian inland waters.
It is not wise to rent a sailboat if no one on board has sailing experience. For the Aira 22, it is helpful if you or your party have sailed an open sailboat before. For the Hanse 315, at least a week's experience as a skipper on a cabin sailing yacht is required.
Naturally, our boats are well insured. In the unlikely event of damage, an excess of € 250 applies to the Aira 22 and € 1,000 to the Hanse 315.
Rental of the Aira is from 9am to 6pm in the morning. The times of the Hanse 315 depend on the chosen period. During the books these times are listed.
No a sailing licence is required to sail our sailboats and sailing yachts. However, it is good to know the sailing rules. Check for example the site sailingtogether.com
